INDIVIDUALISED READING

Please remember that your next INDIVIDUALISED READING is due on April 2 (Monday). We now know what we are capable of and so I hope everyone is aiming to do even better! Please remember that, although presentation is important, you also need to make sure you meet ALL the criteria, in as much detail as possible!

Letter to a Celebrity

Personal Part of Letter

Today we discussed what we would write to the celebrity we are asking to donate an item to auction off. We will then use this money to help develop water resources in developing countries.

By MONDAY, you must have completed your personal paragraph for your letter.

Here are some ideas:

I have chosen to write to you because…

I also wanted to write to you because…

Let your celebrity know why you chose them. Was it because they were in your favourite movie? Are they an inspiration to you? Do you want to do a similar thing when you grow up? Have they donated to charities that you think are important?

REMEMBER the better your paragraph, the more likely people are to donate. CHECK your work and ask an adult to help!

INTERSCHOOL SUMMER SPORTS

On Friday we competed in the Summer Interschool Sports against Atwell, Success, Jandakot and Aubin Grove. We produced some great results and showed outstanding sportsmanship throughout the day.

Below are some photos from the cricket. Hopefully there will be some more photos of the other sports over the next couple of weeks. If anyone has any other photos please let me know.

Purple Haze Day

PURPLE HAZE DAY

Please remember that Purple Haze Day is on WEDNESDAY, March 21. Dress in purple to support the Starlight Foundation, to raise money to help sick children. You do not have to support the Fremantle Dockers to do this! It is a charity event to help others. Please bring a gold coin donation.

Individualised Reading Expectations

Individualised Reading Expectations

Please remember that your first Individualised Reading task is due on MONDAY!

Here is a list of the requirements when you hand it in.

You must hand in (at the start of the day!)

  • Good Copy of Task (Well presented!)

  • Draft (Either in your book, or on paper)

  • Your Individualised Reading Book (Filled in!)

  • Marking Guide (With the student evaluation filled in!)

Please do not hand in loose sheets of paper. You can staple your work together, and glue the Marking Guide onto the back of your work. If your work is too small for this, it should be handed in with a plastic sleeve.

Make sure your name is on ALL WORK!

Good luck, and do not forget to see Mr Sim if there are any problems!
